With the ancient texts of the Requiem Aeterna (eternal rest) and Lux Aeterna (eternal light), the melody represents a beautiful ascent into the Heavens with a slowly ascending and seemingly endless C major scale until its gentle release and calming descent.. Written for Elaine Quilichini and the Calgary Girl's Choir on their 30th Anniversary, they effortlessly capture this sentiment.
