As a young singer I performed several arrangements of the Canadian folk-melody, "She's Like the Swallow".  I always thought there was so much more of a story behind the lyrics so I crafted my own arrangement.  This arrangement includes a narrator who tells the story of heartbreak. A soprano soloist alludes to another folk melody, "I Am In Love", a haunting motif that exposes the main characters' personal narrative. Because of the storytelling, the learning of this piece was memorable and engaging.  Watch the live performance below!
