I was in my kitchen one day when something came up that should have really bothered me. For some reason, maybe it was the blue sky or the strong coffee, I just let it slide off my back and this quirky little song popped in my head.  I had a melody and words “letting go” stuck in my head all day. It felt great to just not let it bother me and I felt free and calm and my day went on. This song is meant to embrace that feeling of letting go of the little things that may otherwise unnecessarily occupy brain space.  Once we let go, and even forgive, we are free to focus on the things that matter most.
Keep this piece laid-back, folk-like, and easy. It is almost easier to simply listen to the recording than try to decipher the pop rhythms.  Have fun with exploring using soloists, if desired, and even swapping voice parts throughout the piece.
