A Little Brighter- Cypress title page_ed

"A Little Brighter" was written for an incredible young singer who was taken from the world far too soon.  I am certain that she continues to be a bright light in the sky. Although we often question the purpose of our lives, perhaps It is this sentiment that helps us to believe that our loved ones still surround us as the "chosen" stars at night.   This piece is a touching tribute in any memorial.

We love you, Taylor.

Voicing: SATB

Additional Instrumentation: piano (although the video shows a cello in the piece, please note there is no cello required)

Difficulty: Easy-Medium

How can it be? Who has the answer?

In this world as we know it, we must come and go.

Why is that so?

We learn to live, learn to love, learn to grow.

So why must we let it go?

Because He chooses His stars to share all their light.

Isn’t the sky a little brighter tonight?

There are so many things in the world that go unknown.

Why is it so?

There are no answers for the questions we sow.

So how do we let go?

But we can rest a little longer for the answer’s never far, for every single angel becomes a shining star.

Though your days may be cloudy and your skies are grey,

for you we’ll pray.

Just remember the stars and you’ll know.

That’s why we must let go.

Look up, look up.

Because He chooses His stars to share all their light.

Isn’t the sky a little brighter tonight?
